Immersive Vacation

Swapping bodies certainly wasn't on Nathaniel's to do list whileon vacation, and yet when he found himself switched into the body of a woman, he was at a bit of a crossroads.

He could try to look for his original body. After all, he knew where the hotel where it should be staying. On the other hand, he could try to figure out a little bit more about the body he was currently in. He didn't see any reason to rush to find his original body, and he wasn't even sure what he would do once he found it, so he decided figuring out more about who he was now was the better option.

He unlocked her phone with her face and scrolled through her socials. He name was Gigi, and she was a local to the area -- it certainly could be fun to explore that was as a bit more of an immersive experience, instead of being like the tourist he was. He saw she had several appointments coming up, and decided those could be interesting. A haircut? Meeting with an agent? It all seemed like a fun time, and he was excited to try it!

In study after study, the Army had discovered that women were much better at hitting targets with their weapons than men. At first, they tried recruiting women and were somewhat successful, but the majority of grunts were still men. As such, they began an experiment to transform many of their male recruits into women.

Almost no man volunteered for it, so the generals ended up selecting men. Xavier was among the first to be subjected to the experiment. He absolutely hated it at first. But after learning to adapt to his new body, he found his shots were more accurate and his aim more deadly. There was a certain concentration he had now that was missing before. After weeks in training, he was ready to take his skills into combat.

He was perched at a distance, able to take down literally dozens with ease. He never thought he'd be this good a shot, and he never thought he'd actually enjoy being a woman!

HyperSleep

Private Winston O’Grady had signed up for the military experiment to be placed in hyper sleep for twenty years. He was told in that time he wouldn’t age or dream. He’d enter the chamber in an isolated part of a secret facility, and it would feel like just a short nap before waking up. And so he entered and moment later to Winston, it felt like it was over and he exited the chamber. Except there was a lot wrong. The most obvious thing was his body -- it wasn’t his own! He was now a woman, dressed quite fashionably compared to his uniform. The there was the facility; it seemed abandoned. He wasn’t sure if he had slept for the full twenty years or not, or why he was in the wrong body. He began to explore, hoping to find someone...anyone. Ultimately, he stumbled across a phone on a panel with a bunch of buttons and knobs. There seemed to be a dial tone, but any number he remembered didn’t seem to connect. Even 911 came back as out of service. This was certainly strange. His next thought was finding a way out...

Pink Tax

Andrew had been nervous about signing up for the psychological study at first. He knew it entailed swapping bodies with another participant of the opposite gender and living their life for six months. However the start of the study was remarkably smooth. He swapped with a Asian woman named Hiromi. She was smart, young, and attractive. Settling into her life was a breeze. But as the days passed, Andrew noticed something weird. Women’s items just seemed to cost more than men’s. When he noticed his usual $20 haircut would now be more than twice as expensive, hat was the last straw. Instead, he bought a pair of scissors and looked at himself in the mirror. How hard could it be to cut his own hair? Plus, he’d save a lot of money. This didn’t seem like a bad plan at all...

Cheeseburger

Immediately after using his invention to steal Juliana’s body, Paul grabbed his stomach in pain. He wondered if Juliana just hadn’t eaten recently or if she was starving herself to stay thin for her modeling career. The reason why he wanted her body was because he saw her as an ideal of beauty. But if this was the price of that beauty, he was not sure how long her was going to last. He couldn’t stop thinking about the pain in his stomach and how much he just wanted to sink his teeth into a giant cheeseburger.

When Alan awoke, the first thing he noticed was the taste of lipstick on his lips. At first he wondered how much he had drunk the night before and who he had ended up making out with. However, he soon realized he hadn’t kissed anyone the night before; it was he who was wearing the lipstick for some reason. And as some long hair fell onto his shoulders as he sat up, the full horror of what had happened to him began to sink in; he had swapped bodies with his own mother! Instead of being a 25 year old guy, he was now a 45 year old woman! He had to consider that maybe she was responsible. She had dropped out of college and married his father after she became pregnant with him. It had been a tough life of scrimping and saving until he finally went away to college. Alan had become successful almost immediately. Sure, he didn’t call his mom enough, but he always sent her plenty of cash. Plus, she loved him. She couldn’t possibly do this to him; she couldn’t possibly be jealous enough to steal his life from him, right?

After several months of psychological evaluation and physical therapy, Seth was allowed to walk around the grounds of the hospital. He often went to the parking garage wearing clothes his wife had given him. It was still all so strange -- to be someone else, and not only that, but to be someone so much different from who he had been, who he still considered himself to be.

Seth realized his steps were getting shaky. He looked down to orient himself. It was one of the side effects of the transplant. If he got too distracted, he could lose track of some pretty basic things. Walking was one of them. His feet just often didn’t hit the way he expected them too. Some of that blame he placed on the boots his wife had brought him -- though they were certainly better than the heels she was encouraging him to wear. His next steps were taken carefully as he looked down, back to his task at hand of walking around with this weird, foreign body.

Best Thing Ever

Nick was starting to think that using that magic spell to steal Shelby’s body was probably one of the best ideas he ever had. He had originally done it in an attempt to instill some confidence in her. He had always told her that she had a great body; she just seemed too afraid to show it off. But a strange thing happened to Nick as he paraded around in Shelby’s body while wearing skimpy clothes -- he started to enjoy it! The next thing he knew, he was no longer interested in boosting Shelby’s confidence. Instead, he was on the beach showing off her body. He could feel guy’s stares burning into him as they gawked with awe. He was enjoying the attention. He was originally planning to swap back with Shelby that night, but now he planned to keep her body for himself just a little while longer...

“Are you aware how annoying your hair is?” Malcom asked Zoe as he played with a strand of it, “Do you mind if I shave it all of?”

“You’d better not!” She snapped back.

“Maybe it’s time to admit that we’re going to be stuck in each other’s bodies. We’ve come back to this diner where that witch cursed us for three days straight now. She’s not going to show up and uncurse us or something. Face it, I’m going to be in your body forever, and you’re going to be in mine.”

“No, she’ll come back. When she does, we just need to make an apology, and she’ll switch us back. I’ve seen it in the movies!”

“Movies aren’t real.”

“And we didn’t think body switching was real either until three days ago!”

Sent Home

When Julia arrived home to find a nervous Asian woman pacing in her living room, she demanded answers. The woman quietly responded by pushing a strand of hair behind her ear and taking a deep breath until finally she spoke with a stammer.

“It’s because...I’m your husband.”

Julia’s jaw dropped.

The woman continued, “There was an accident...at work. But all of us...we all are...we’re all someone different now. I swapped into this woman’s body...her name is Lee. She’s entry level in the accounting department. Chuck, my supervisor, he’s in my body. Everyone is all mixed up. They don’t even know what caused it. But they sent us all home early. We didn’t even know what home to go to. Should I have gone to Lee’s home or here, for instance? It’s all just really weird...and awkward.”

Julia stood speechless. She couldn’t believe the woman in front of her was actually her husband. Instead of being the tall, middle aged man with broad shoulders that she married, he was now a petite Asian woman. It didn’t even seem possible, but it was way to outrageous for this woman to make up. So she had to actually be him...right?

In the following weeks Seth was confined to his hospital room. He could sit up, but standing was a whole different matter. The doctors told him his recovery was likely worse due to the fact that his brain had to be transplanted twice and due to any damages caused by his brain being rejected by the first body, though Seth was still expected to make a full recovery over time. All this meant hour after hour day after day of being stuck with this unfamiliar body and not much else to do but notice all the differences from his own. One day, he’d focus on the fact that he now had breasts. The next, it might be the long hair coming from his head. He’d imagine cutting it short the minute he left the hospital.

He asked the doctors about getting another transplant, about getting the type of body he was supposed to get, but they said it was out of the question. The risk was just too high for another rejection...and that was if his brain could even survive another transplant, which they thought unlikely. Seth sighed. He guess he was just going to have to get used to this...

Off-Season

It must have been the off-season for Exchange Island, Hector hadn’t seen a single other person on the beach so far. He was sure that there had to someone else somewhere on the island. After all, he did swap with a beautiful woman; she had to be in his body somewhere. The next day, he tried going to the beach on the other side of the island further away from the resort. Once again, he was the only person there. The whole place felt like a ghost town. Then again, it’s not like he was bothered by the private time in his borrowed body.

Flash

The white flash seemed to come out of nowhere. Neil hadn’t noticed a camera nearby, but there was one right in his face all of a sudden -- it must’ve been what caused the flash. Then he realized he wasn’t where he just was. He was now in the back of a car. But that wasn’t even the weirdest part. He was now wearing a long black dress with a low cut top and -- oh, dear God, a chest almost falling out the front -- a woman’s chest! And there was blonde hair too! He was in someone else’s body! Maybe that white light wasn’t a camera flash after all!

Life Saving (Part 1)

With a chronic disease affecting his body, Seth agreed to the experimental procedure to have his brain transplanted into a new body. The donor was a perfect match, another guy just two years younger than Seth, just an inch taller, and with a similar build. He knew when the doctors put him under, he would wake up as someone else. However, he never expected to wake up inside the body of an young Asian woman! He demanded answers on how they could make such a mistake!

However, when a doctor arrived in the room with Seth’s wife, they explained there had been no mistake. Seth’s brain had been transplanted into the correct body, but that body began to immediately reject Seth’s brain. If the doctors didn’t act quickly, Seth would’ve died. They needed to locate a compatible donor fast, and they couldn’t be picky. The young Asian woman had arrived in the ER brain dead. They didn’t even know her name or if she had a family. They acted on impulse to save Seth’s life by putting his brain in her body.

Skate or Die

Everything went dark, and Jim suddenly felt cold. He wondered for a moment if this was the end. If he had gotten hit by a car he hadn’t seen or struck by a falling object and this was the result -- the end? It got worse when he saw a bright light. It took him a moment to not panic and come to realize it was a spot light. He wasn’t dead, he was on stage. No, wait, not a stage -- an ice rink. And judging from the feminine clothes and shapely body inside them, he was clearly not in his own body anymore either. He tried to look on the bright side, at least he wasn’t dead! That’s when the music started and he noticed thousands of eyes staring at him. They were expecting a performance. Not really knowing what to do, Jim began to attempt a routine. It was clumsy at first, but it seemed this body had a high amount of muscle memory that was starting to take over!

Operational

“...And unfortunately, if I calculated correctly, we need to repair the body swapping device by tonight otherwise we will be stuck in each other’s bodies forever,” Ivan pointed to the diagram while addressing his fellow scientists. The small team had stumbled upon body swapping technology last week, but have yet to fix the device that caused the swap in attempt to duplicate the results. Ivan was stuck in the only female body within the group, and he report was troubling to many in the room, especially considering they didn’t expect to have the device operational again for a few more days.

When Richard finally stopped the cab at the address the young woman had given, he paused before telling her to have a nice day. He knew those words would seal both of their fates. The next thing he knew, it was now him standing on the side of the road inside the young woman’s body watching the cab drive away. At first, he couldn’t move, frozen in place by the taxi’s magic. But after several more minutes, he simply chose to stay were he was, absorbing it all. He could feel himself struggling to balance on the heeled ankle boots, the cool breeze on his bare legs, and the tight feeling of the jean shorts. This was his body now, his life. He hoped the young woman would find a nice new one of her own, but there was certainly no way she was getting this one back!

Not Taking the Chance

“I don’t know why you are wearing that thing. The ads are bogus. Those masks do nothing to keep out the transformation virus,” John told his friend Katie.

“I haven’t caught it yet! And I don’t intend to catch it anytime soon.”

“About 90% of the world has caught it by this point. Scientists have said most of the risk has passed. I’ve caught it. I didn’t mind my transformation.”

“Yeah, you changed from a guy to a girl. I’ve heard much worse stories. Besides, I like being a girl! If I caught the same strain as you had, what if I switched genders? I don’t want to be a guy!”

“Being a guy was not so bad.”

“Would you go back?”

“No.”

“Then I think I’ve made my point.”

“I’m just saying the mask doesn’t do any good. You’ve been out all the time and haven’t caught it yet. Maybe you’re just one of the few who are immune.”

Dumpster Diving

Frank was furious when his wife told him she had thrown away the medallion responsible for swapping their bodies. He stormed down to the trash room still wearing his wife's fuzzy green jacket high heels, and leather mini skirt. He really didn't want to waste the time to change into her work clothes, and he really didn't care if he ruined her nice outfit. After searching for about an hour with his industrial flash lights, a blonde woman came down. Claiming to be a man named Everett, 'he' said he was also looking for a medallion that his sister had thrown down here after she trapped him in her body. A black woman in a purple coat came down shortly after with a similar story only claiming it was his girlfriend who had stolen his body. Finally, a fourth woman came down; she stared at the others for a moment with one hand on her hip. After hearing the other three mumble, she ran back upstairs as quickly as possible. As she got to the top of the stairs, she looked at her hand and she knew he had to do something else with this medallion--she couldn't just throw it away; the others might find it and force her to swap back with her fat, overweight, balding slob of a neighbor. She enjoyed her new life a sexy woman way more than her old one as a man--there was NO WAY she was going to even begin to risk returning to that life!

Pumping Gas

The gas station attendants were shocked when they saw the richest woman in town, Mrs. Worth, pull up to self-service, pull out an iPod, and start pumping her own gas. She never lifted a finger in her life! What they didn't know was that a strange accident had caused Mrs. Worth to swap bodies with the teenage boy that lived down the street from her. He said he'd try to hide it as much as possible, but he had no idea how to live as a rich woman!

When the Great Shift hit, Bob found himself miles away from home on the side of the road. His first concern was how he was going to get home, but realizing he wasn't in his own body, his priorities changed. Though at least he figured he could use his new sexy body in a bathing suit to solve his earlier concern. He stood by the side of the road, waiting for a car to pass so he could hitchhike. Due to the Shift's chaos, no one was driving. A car wouldn't pass for hours.

Considering the giant breasts sticking out of the pink top (neither of which were his), he had a feeling that the bodyswap reference was about him...
