Pink Purse (Part 1)

It didn’t seem like a big deal. Annette had just asked Connor to hold her purse while she went to the bathroom. He felt a little strange holding a bright pink bag, but he didn’t want to refuse such a simple request on their second date. He felt like everyone was staring at him -- the man holding a bright pink bag. And she seemed to be taking so long in there. Each additional moment felt like forever...and then he felt something else. It was his body feeling strange now. Then he looked down and saw more pink. He was wearing a pink dress now that matched perfectly with the purse. In fact, his entire body had changed; he was a woman now! Connor began to wonder what was in this purse. He couldn’t wait anymore, and now that he was a woman now, he wouldn’t have a problem. He rushed into the women’s bathroom to find Annette, but she wasn’t in there. He was stuck with this body now without any explanation.

Ruined

The ruins in discovered in the center of the city had been quite a surprise and soon became a popular destination for researchers and tourists alike. It was astonishing how a large find could go undiscovered for so long. Matthew had gone down to the ruins with a tour group. A strange blue light surrounded them as they entered a room. When they exited, Matthew felt different. When he looked down, he discovered he swapped bodies with another person on the tour -- an absolutely gorgeous woman in tight pants and high heels. He wanted to say something, but no one else seemed to be questioning what had happened. Even his own body was acting normal. Was he the only one who was even aware that anything had happened. He sat just outside the ruins as the rest of the group went on. This was a lot to wrap his head around. Would he even be able to explain to anyone what had happened? Would it happen again if he went back in?

Bus Station

Ryan awoke feeling groggy. He looked around. It was funny. He hadn’t remembered falling asleep at the bus station; he didn’t even seem to recall going to the bus station. Yet here he was, waking up in one of the chairs. He stretched out and could suddenly feel a very different body from the one he went to sleep with. He was a woman. He tried to calmly assess the situation. He was in a woman’s body at the bus station. He woke a leather jacket, some tight pants, a pair of boots, and a ball cap. There was a purse -- he immediately dug in. There didn’t seem to be any ID, but there was plenty of cash. He bought a coffee and continued to evaluate his situation. What was he going to do? The cash in that purse wouldn’t last forever, but it was enough to get him plenty of places (he was at the bus station after all). His first thought: buy a ticket and head back to his own house to approach the person now in his body. His other option: buy a ticket far away and start a new life with this great body.

Made Up

Evan was pretty sure he was never going to get the hang of putting on makeup. After three months of being stuck in a woman’s body thanks to the Great Shift, he was still having trouble. Sure, he had gotten better at applying makeup; it wasn’t nearly as messy as when he had first tried putting it on. But it still never seemed to look quite right when he did it. Maybe he just had no clue how to get the colors right; they always looked wrong. It was particularly frustrating since he had mastered so many other aspects of being a woman. It only took him about a day to figure out how to put on a bra, two and he was a master at walking in heels. Heck, even things like styling his hair and picking out a nice outfit didn’t seem much trouble for him. Why was makeup so hard?

Trying

Ryan had stolen Julia’s body just a few hours ago. But if he was going to successfully steal her life and convince anyone that he was really her, he’d have to learn to walk in high heeled shoes. Julia rarely wore anything else. Ryan was trying really hard to get used to them, but so far was having no luck. He had to prop himself up just to keep from falling down. This was not going to be easy, but he was sure that after a few more tries he could get it right.

Jim had finally collected everything up off the floor after dropping them from the shock of suddenly finding himself in his sister’s body. He realized that he had a lot to do. His ultimate goal would be to translate that page to hopefully swap back to his own body. However, he still needed to deal with his sister’s boyfriend; he had no interest in going out with that guy tonight! Maybe he should just go back to his sister’s room, change out of these clothes, lock the door, and just get to work. He could throw a couple of these books open and maybe there would be a clue in one of them. He might end up ruining her relationship, but at this point, that seemed like only a minor concern.

Frequent Flier

After many years of business trips and vacations, Justin finally had collected a million miles, enough to enroll in the airline’s most exclusive benefits for frequent fliers. He was most excited about being able to fly anywhere in the world for free. He had no idea how they could afford it. He spoke with a representative about collecting his rewards, and she asked him if he had read all the terms and conditions. He claimed that he did, and she smiled as she lead him into what she claimed was a room for exclusive members like him. Inside it was pitch dark. He couldn’t see anything, but he suddenly felt strange. The lights came on, and Justin finally saw what happened. He body had been completely transformed into that of a busty blonde woman, and was wearing the uniform of the airline’s stewardesses. He felt a mix of shock and curiosity as he ran his hands all up and down his new body. The representative entered the room and asked where he wanted to go first. Justin could only scream about what had happened to his body, but the representative explained that it was all in the terms. He’d get free flights, but he’d have to work for them as a stewardess!

Not Alone

One minute everything was normal, and the next Hank found himself in a woman’s body. He looked down at his thin legs encased in leather pants in confusion. He wanted to scream, but had no desire to draw much attention to himself. Then he noticed a woman in a black dress seemingly equally shocked.

“Did something...strange just happen to you?” He asked.

“Very strange!” The woman responded

“Me too!” A third one chimed in.

They quickly learned they weren’t alone in finding themselves in new bodies...

Mayor

Mayor Daniel Winslow knew the Great Shift would send his city into chaos. He needed to address the people to calm everyone down. There were lots of questions, and while he didn’t have any answers yet, he needed to pretend that he did. He scheduled a press conference mere hours after the Shift hit. He needed to show that they were not alone -- he had been affected too; he was in his wife’s body. His speech urged for calm; he pledged to work with state and federal leaders to help find a solution to one day reverse the effects of the Shift. Many were still panicked, but he knew it had worked. People would be coming together in the wake of the tragedy, and he hoped he was leading them as best he could in this moment of crisis.

Life's a Beach

Steve’s vacation was long overdue. When he was finally able to secure a week off from work, he headed straight to the beach. He enjoyed spending time lounging on the sand and taking a dip in the water. As he swam far from shore, the undertow caught him. The current was strong, but he knew how to fight it as he started to head back toward shore. Then suddenly, he felt his feet on dry land. He looked out to where he had been swimming and saw that his body struggling.

“Help!” He screamed in a voice that seemed far too high pitched, “I am -- I mean -- there’s a man drowning out there!”

But no one seemed to be paying any attention to Steve. In fact, other people were also screaming, mostly saying they were in the wrong body. Even the lifeguards seemed too busy feeling themselves up to help. Then Steve looked down.

This whole body swapping thing had affected him too. He was now a woman in a black bikini while the person in his body was now having a hard time in the waves. He started to head to the water, trying to think of the best course of action.

Bradley looked down and tried to fathom why he was suddenly wearing different clothes. The baggy red sweater and tight, shiny black pants certainly weren’t his style. They weren’t even pants, they were more like...leggings? He tugged on them gently, beginning to wonder why his legs looked so skinny. And were his nails painted? None of it seemed to make any sense. The reality of being in a completely different body was such an outlandish and impossible idea, that he hadn’t even accepted it as fact yet. But it was fact. He was now in the body of a woman...

The first thing that Doug noticed had changed were his hands used to shield from the bright pink light. While the last thing he saw were his own masculine hands, with his brain in a new body, the feminine hands that he now saw gave him quite a shock. When he wiggled his fingers, the manicured nails moved. It was truly a strange experience for him, and he was only beginning to comprehend his the fact that he was in a new body.

As Jim continued to collect the papers from the floor, he was no longer thinking about how he was going to get out of his sister’s body, he was thinking about the more immediate concern of how he was going to avoid going on a date with her boyfriend.

It was at that moment he noticed one of the pages he was picking up. It was filled with odd symbols, but the title was quite clear, it was about swapping bodies. Had his sister accidentally read this page? Was it possible for him to figure out what it said?

Fun

It all still seemed pretty crazy. After an accident at work, Ron swapped bodies with Maddie, one of the accountants at the company. Any time Ron thought he had imagined the whole thing, he just looked in a mirror to remind himself. They weren’t the only ones affected, and the company promised to get everyone back to normal the next morning. Thankfully, that meant he only had one night trapped in her body. She seemed like such a prude with the way she dressed and her attitude. Then again, with him in control of her body for the night, she didn’t have to be. He had to admit that she was quite attractive. He would just have to show off her wild side by hitting up some clubs this evening. He might have to hit up a mall first. He wasn’t sure he could go wild wearing this frilly blouse or lame sweater. He was sure that ‘Maddie’ was going to have more fun tonight than she ever had in her life combined, she just would never know about it...

Fix

“You can’t just leave me here stuck in your sister’s body!” Steve protested with his hands on his hips, “What if her husband comes home? Or her kids?”

“No one will be home for hours,” Alvin assured Steve, “We know the body swap device works; it just overheated. I am going to run back home to get the parts to fix it. I’ll have you back to normal before you know it. Oh, and you may not realize this, but I think being in Karen’s body is already having an effect on you. Your stance and movements are already much more like hers than your own.”

Steve couldn’t think of a good comeback, and the more he argued the longer it would be before he was able to swap back into his own body. He never appreciated being a test subject for Alvin’s weird inventions and this one had put him in a particularly odd situation...

Frat House

Brent had hoped that last night was all a bad dream, but when he woke up he realized he wasn’t. All of his fraternity brothers had their bodies stolen by the members of a sorority last night at a wild party, and that meant that he too was stuck in a body of one of the sisters. Normally, he’d be psyched to wake up with tons of hot women surrounding him, but he didn’t want to be one of them! He felt weird wearing her skimpy nightgown, having breasts hanging from his chest, and who the hell wears heels to bed? Brent didn’t have too long to focus on the changes as his frat brother’s were looking to him for a scheme to get their bodies back.

Trashed

Twelve hours ago, Darren had swapped bodies with hisgirlfriend using the Medallion of Zulu. Enjoying his new body immediately, he tossed the medallion away, thinking that he’d never want to swap back, but after time had passed and he had experienced womanhood, he found himself digging through the trash for the magic trinket, hoping to use it to swap back to his own body. The swap was a dream at first, but incidents that happened while swapped -- including getting his girlfriend’s period -- made Darren long to be back in his own body again.

How long had it been since it started that one day when Neil awoke in someone else’s body for the first time? Maybe five years ago now or more? It didn’t even feel weird anymore to wake up in a new body each morning anymore. He was sure he’d ruined many people’s lives at first by just staying in bed, refusing to go to work, or anything. But these days, he’d hop out of bed and get ready. He was pretty sure he was now an expert on figuring out a person based on their room and wardrobe. Though he had obviously been born a guy, he’d been both men and women for enough time to figure out that he actually preferred being a woman. This morning he was excited to be a woman once again, as he selected a cute, black leather dress from the closet. He slipped it on, then adjusted his hair and makeup as he admired the cute Asian face lookng back at him. He knew he’d be someone else again tomorrow, but he often fantasized about finally keeping a body for longer than a day. This body would be top on his list; it was perfect. But he also knew not to hope too hard.

Doug saw a pink light in the sky that engulfed him for only a brief moment before it dissolved. As it faded, Doug discovered that his body had changed. What he didn't know was in that moment an entire month had passed. Aliens had abducted him, keeping him unconscious the entire time while they experimented on him and several other people. They had mostly removed organs to learn about human physiology. With the aliens' advanced technology, matching blood types were irrelevant, and thinking that all organs were interchangable, placed many parts back in the wrong bodies. None of the abductees ever noticed a misplaced liver or intestine, but a misplaced brain? That's what happened to Doug! The aliens had picked it up (along with his heart) when splicing back a young woman named Janet...

Jim started to pick the things up off the floor. Before long, a tall man stood above him. The man was clearly looking down Jim’s shirt. Jim adjusted his long hair to try and cover up a little. He looked up to see the man was still staring.

“I hope that’s what you’re wearing for our date later,” The man said to Jim.

“Our date?” Jim repeated.

“You can’t tell me you forgot? Tonight’s the night you promised that we could go all the way. And with that outfit, I’m sure in the mood!”

“All the way?” Jim’s stomach sank.

Holiday Party

It happened right in the middle of the office holiday party. There was a huge flash of light and suddenly it seemed like everyone in the attendance swapped bodies with someone else in the office. Bernard laughed when he realized he was in Heather’s body. Heather worked in Human Resources and got really into the holidays to try to boost office morale. He wasn’t sure if it was more awkward for him to be in the body of a woman or to be wearing Heather’s outfit, which was worn in attempt to win the office’s ugly sweater contest. And while Bernard was laughing, others were panicking. People were checking their phones and finding news reports of what was being called “The Great Shift,” which seemed to be worldwide with an estimated 99% of the population swapped into someone else’s body. Bernard could only figure that everyone would eventually adjust, including himself. He’d just have to get used to being in Heather’s body.

Not a Bad Way to Spend the Day

When the wife of Josh’s boss approached him at the annual company picnic, he was wary. She had always been a little strange and aloof, but she had a few drinks and started to seem downright crazy. She talked about being bored with her life, complaining that her husband made too much money, which didn’t allow her to work. She started begging Josh to switch lives with her. He dismissed it at first, saying his boss would certainly notice. She turned serious for a moment, telling him that he just didn’t understand. She’d prove what she was saying. The next thing Josh knew, the world was spinning around him. He felt tipsy, and he soon discovered he had switched bodies with his boss’s wife! The rest of the picnic was a blur, and sure enough, Josh woke up the next morning still in the body of his boss’s wife. He woke up alone, her husband already off to work nice and early. He suddenly understood her boredom. There didn’t seem to be anything to do, that is until he discovered a membership to a local club. Playing tennis and hitting the pool didn’t seem like a bad way to spend the day, even if he did have to do it in a woman’s body.

Spontaneous

The three scientists studied Luke carefully. They attached a weird device to his head to further inspect his brain. None of them had ever heard of a man spontaneously changing gender before. However, test after test revealed nothing unusual. He appeared to be a perfectly healthy woman. Of course, the previous day he had been a perfectly healthy man.

Beauty and the Geek

For the latest season of Beauty and the Geek the producers had really outdone themselves. They were going to make the contestants learn about each other by making them walk a mile in their shoes...literally! At the beginning of the contest all the beauties and all the geeks had their minds swapped. To spice things up even more they told the contestants that only the winners would be returned to their old bodies. On week one Norman and Roxanne were kicked off the show. Both stood before the producers with their hands on their hips in a pissed off fashion, but secretly Norman couldn't be happier.

Turn for the Worse

Biff couldn't believe he was crying! Two hours ago he was King of the World, just graduated high school with a football scholarship to an Ivy League school, had his girl on his arm, and prepared to take on anything. Then the Great Shift hit. It was bad enough it stuck him in a girl's body, but couldn't he at least been stuck as one of the hot cheerleaders as opposed to this freak? He started getting scared. If this couldn't be reversed, there'd be no football scholarship. He couldn't believe this bodies emotions! The tears flowed, smearing the black eyeliner he was now wearing. His girlfriend didn't want to talk to him, and things look like they have taken a turn for the worse for Biff.

Do Not Descend the Crater

Sure, the sign read, "Do not descend the crater," but Jake thought it was a mere warning about safety. Little did he know that it was a warning about the crater's curse. After descending late at night, he was shocked to emerge from the crater the next morning as a whole new person . . . quite literally. Though he stood in complete horror after not only losing his manhood but also every sense of self he ever knew, his curiosity began to get the best of him...what would happen if he went down again? Would he return to being himself or would he emerge as yet another person? The possibilities seemed endless . . .

Jim looked down and couldn’t believe how his sister was dressed. Did she go to class looking like this? The skirt was so short and the shirt completely exposed her midriff. He knew he’d have to give her a good talking to the next time he saw her. He stoped himself; he had bigger concerns than how his sister chose to dress -- mainly that he somehow was currently in her body! He couldn’t even imagine how this was possible. He tried his best not to panic, but it was difficult.

He soon decided on a course of action. He’d pick up the mess of books and papers he had dropped, go find Kelly’s room to change out of these clothes, and then try to call his own body. If he was her, she just might be him. Right now, it was the only plan he had.

Honeymoon

Todd and Nancy had scraped by in order to afford their wedding. After the ceremony, Todd surprised his new wife with the fact that he had hidden a little extra away to pay for a surprise honeymoon. He had bought them discount tickets to an exotic resort called Exchange Island. Neither realized that the tickets were so cheap due to the fact that all visitors of the resort would switch bodies with another guest upon arriving. It was a shock for Nancy when she swapped with a young woman on holiday, but Todd was even more taken aback, as he also swapped with a woman. Despite being in borrowed bodies, the two continued to enjoy their honeymoon as best as possible. Todd knew he would be unable to perform many of his husbandly duties, but that didn’t stop him from trying to be as romantic as possible. He lifted Nancy into his arms and gave her a big kiss. They knew this would certainly be a memorable honeymoon and in spite of the oddity, they also knew it would be the start of a wonderful marriage.

KFC

Jerry's girlfriend had been a pain in his ass since the Great Shift put him in her body. Today was the first day that he was able to walk outside without getting all dolled up and wearing dresses. He was thankfully able to wear pants! He also was able to sneak to KFC for some fast food, something he loved, but his girlfriend wouldn't let him touch with concerns over her figure.

Dedication

No one could ever accuse Quarterback Lawrence Rogers of not being a dedicated player. The Great Shift had happened right before the final quarter, but he insisted on continuing in game, despite the fact he was now in the body of his team's head cheerleader, and several of the guys on the opposing team just swapped into the bodies of even bigger guys on his team. He knew it would be a tough game to win, but he had never turned down a challenge before; he wasn't about to start now! Of course, the head cheerleader, Tamara, had wished he would change his mind now that he had her body, or at least she wished he would've gone to the locker room for some padding and protective gear!

This Just Wasn't Right
