Mom

Originally posted on January 27, 2016.

When Alan awoke, the first thing he noticed was the taste of lipstick on his lips. At first he wondered how much he had drunk the night before and who he had ended up making out with. However, he soon realized he hadn’t kissed anyone the night before; it was he who was wearing the lipstick for some reason. And as some long hair fell onto his shoulders as he sat up, the full horror of what had happened to him began to sink in; he had swapped bodies with his own mother! Instead of being a 25 year old guy, he was now a 45 year old woman! He had to consider that maybe she was responsible. She had dropped out of college and married his father after she became pregnant with him. It had been a tough life of scrimping and saving until he finally went away to college. Alan had become successful almost immediately. Sure, he didn’t call his mom enough, but he always sent her plenty of cash. Plus, she loved him. She couldn’t possibly do this to him; she couldn’t possibly be jealous enough to steal his life from him, right?

The Transplant

“Please stop pouting, Tim,” Harold explained calmly to his son, “You knew this day would come eventually. After that terrible car accident, the only way the doctors could save your life was to put your brain into your mom’s body. We all knew it would be hard for you to adapt, but you knew you’d eventually have to start acting like her, and that includes going to her job.”

“I know,” Tim sulked, “But I also don’t forget who was driving, Dad! I still blame you for being stuck like this, and I still blame you for losing mom! I also blame those stupid doctors for doing this to me! I still don’t get why I can’t just tell everyone who I really am!”

“We all signed confidentiality agreements. The doctors procedure that saved your life was experimental and likely illegal. If you tell everyone, then who knows what kind of trouble everyone will get in; including us! I know it’s hard, but I’m thankful my son is alive. And I hope you are too...”

Dance Class

Originally posted on March 25, 2023.

When Mason was little, he always used to ask his mom to sign him up for ballet class. She would always refuse, telling him that ballet wasn’t for boys. Even through high school, he would ask and she would say no. When he finally went off to college, he had mostly forgotten about it as he focused on his studies.

But on winter break when he returned home, the Great Shift struck. Suddenly Mason was now inside the body of his own mother. He recalled asking about ballet class, and he now insisted, since he was technically female now.

As so he showed up to the first class in his mom’s body with a tutu. He paid attention to the teacher and was ready to try things out. Of course, his mom’s body was nearly 50 years old, so it didn’t move quite like a youthful ballerina might, but he was still damned determined to make it work. He had dreamed of this for 20 years!

Mad

Mitchell was mad. Seriously, what sort of mom steals their son's body! But that's exactly what his mother did to him, and now he was stuck in her body. He developed a scheme to try and trick her to swap back. He knew his mom was pretty vein about her appearance, so he dressed up in a latex dress. If she saw him, she'd be horrified. However, after putting on the outfit, he couldn't seem to find where his mom had gone, and the next thing he knew he heard a slam, and saw his dad walking in the front door. Mitchell knew that if his dad saw his mom's body dressed like this, it would definitely not give the right impression.

The Accident

“He’s waking up.”

Martin didn’t know where the words were coming from. His surroundings were quite unfamiliar. The last thing he remembered was driving back from college for the holidays. His parents had picked him up, and he got into an argument with his mom. The car skidded, and that was the last thing he could recall.

“Can you hear me, Martin?” The voice asked.

“Uh...” It was all Martin could manage to say.

“It’s okay. Don’t try too hard yet. The neuro pathways will take some time to adjust to your new body.”

“There’s good news and bad news,” A second voice spoke, “You were in an accident. We were able to save your brain, but your body was crushed. Your mother, on the other hand, was completely brain dead from her injuries. Doctor Brown did something miraculous. He placed your brain in your mom’s body to save you.”

Martin wanted nothing more than to scream upon hearing this, but he couldn’t seem to; his brain was still adjusting. He couldn’t believe he was now in the body of his own mother!

Soccer Mom

Originally posted on December 1, 2022.

It was the first soccer game of Raul’s college career. He had gotten a small scholarship to be the first in his family to attend university, and his parents were even in the crowd gathered under cloudy skies. Raul had managed to score the only goal by the time the rains came at around the half (not bad for the college freshman), causing a delay. While they waited, a bolt of lightning struck the field causing a phenomenon that had never been recorded before or since -- a mass body swap. Players, referees, coaches, and fans all found them swapped around. Raul ended up in the body of his own mother! He was now around 40 years old and a woman, but he wasn’t going to let either of those deter him. Once the rains cleared, he insisted on continuing to play. The refs discussed canceling the game completely, but enough players were like Raul and insisted going on. Raul realized the odds were against him. The other team mostly swapped with other players (either on the same team or his) and one now had the body of a professional who was in the stands. Despite this, his team pulled off the win. To the top it off, the only other goal scored after everyone was swapped was Raul, despite now being in the body of his own 40-year-old mother.

Super Old and Gross

"I really hated that Great Shift thing," Mikey told his sister Juliet.

"Tell me about it! It's totally lame that we're stuck in mom and dad's bodies while they got ours! We were just kids! Now we're in their super old, gross bodies!"

"It wouldn't be so bad," Mikey retorted, "I just wish I had gotten dad's and you had gotten mom's; instead of the other way around..."

Good Son

Originally posted on July 8, 2012.

“Mom! You can’t do this to me! You can’t! Give me my body back, please!”

“I’m sorry, Junior, but you were a worthless son. You never worked hard, you were never appreciative, and you always took advantage of me as your mother. I switched bodies with you in order to turn your life around. Maybe once I do, I will give it back to you, but only if I am convinced that you won’t ruin all of my hard work.”

Maybe Not an Accident

Originally posted on August 18, 2018.

“Dude, why does Matt’s mom come to every practice and sit in the bleachers?” Alex asked another student on the football team before waving out to her, “Hey, Mrs. Lee.”

Matt uncomfortably waved back before dropping his hands awkwardly between his legs. It was still unbelievably weird to him how he had swapped bodies with his friend’s mom. He was pretty sure that she was going to ruin his life, so he tried his best to keep an eye on her when he could -- that included watching her at football practice. What may have been even weirder was that she seemed to be doing well; not just in terms of playing football, but also just being a social eighteen year old man. He was wondering if maybe it was all planned. Maybe she had actually wanted his life; maybe the swap wasn’t an accident...

Destiny

Orginally posted on February 1, 2010.

Donald's mom had always encouraged him to go into science, and he could never figure out why. Even when he faltered in his childhood, she told him that he knew he was destined to do something great. Already in his late 20s, that greatness was about to be realized. He had invented a transporter, and after several tests, it was finally time for a human subject. Donald insisted he be allowed to be first. But when he entered, something went horribly wrong. Time and space warped, and he found himself in not only the wrong location, but in the wrong time and in the wrong body! The face of the woman he now was looked eerily familiar, and after digging through some things in the house he was in, he figured out why...it was 1993, and he was in the body of his own mother! His own mother as a teenager! The lifetime of pressure she laid on him finally made sense--she did it because it had to happen, just a he would have to do now to start the cycle over again.

Inconsistencies

"Dude!" Marcus screamed to his friend Todd, "I know I agreed to let you turn me into a copy of your mom using that weird transformation machine so that I could attend the parent-teacher conference to get you out of trouble. But, for one, I look like your mom in photos from twenty years ago! She's way older than this. And, two, your mom's breasts aren't this huge! Not even close! You made these things monsters! We're not going to fool anyone at the school unless we fix these inconsistencies."
