Can't Go Out Like That

“See you later, Liz,” Kent said to his daughter as he headed to the door.

“Dad, wait, you can’t go out wearing that!” Liz protested.

“Why not? It’s exactly the same outfit that you were going to wear yesterday.”

“Exactly, and you made me change.”

“Right, because you’re my daughter. But I’m a grown man. I can wear whatever I want.”

“No, you WERE a grown man,” Liz said angrily, “That is until we swapped bodies. Now you’re in MY body!”

“In which case I’ll use the same argument you tried to yesterday. I am a twenty one year old grown woman, and you can’t tell me what to do. You may have my body, but you aren’t MY parent. I am not living under YOUR roof. This is MY roof. Which means I get to make the rules.”

“Your roof? I bet if we went to the bank right now they wouldn’t think it was your roof. I look like the guy who writes the checks for the mortgage.”

“...And I’m still doing the work to pay for that mortgage. Luckily, they let me work from home.”

Both Liz and her dad paused.

“We’re pretty much both screwed if we don’t swap back soon, aren’t we?” Liz finally sighed, breaking the silence.

Super Old and Gross

"I really hated that Great Shift thing," Mikey told his sister Juliet.

"Tell me about it! It's totally lame that we're stuck in mom and dad's bodies while they got ours! We were just kids! Now we're in their super old, gross bodies!"

"It wouldn't be so bad," Mikey retorted, "I just wish I had gotten dad's and you had gotten mom's; instead of the other way around..."

Daughter's Prom

Yuan felt very awkward wearing his daughter's prom dress, but she insisted that he attend even after a strange accident had switched their bodies. It had been two months since the swap, and they had so far been unable to get back to their own bodies. Yuan had begun to think it might be impossible, but his daughter still had hope, so she made sure he did his best to continue her life in the way she wanted, which included attending prom with the most popular boy in school.

Insubordination

"Look here, Young Lady," scolded Michael with a slight smile (he always actually enjoying punishing his children as he sat down in his favorite chair before crossing his legs in a feminine manner, "I may be in your body, but I am still your father! And you may be in my body, but that doesn't give you the right to take my car, buy and DRINK booze, and then come home past curfew!"

Michael's smile faded into a stern look, but his daughter dismissed it, "You can't tell me what to do anymore, DAD! I know the bodyswap was your fault. You want my body,fine! Then I will treat YOU like the daughter, and I will act like the dad! So let's talk about YOUR punishment for this act of insubordination!"

Male Heir

Part of him felt a little guilt about trapping a young soul in his old body, but his selfish nature always won out. In 2009, Ren was once again getting on in years, but all of his three daughters each also gave birth to three daughters. Knowing he had only days left to live, he ultimately decided to swap bodies with the eldest of his nine granddaughters. She had moved to America for college, so she would cause the least suspicion among the family. Once the mystic spell was complete, Ren found himself in her body, practicing with the school's other cheerleaders. He knew so little about her life--having always hoped for a grandson, but did his best until a male heir could be produced.

Gary couldn't believe he was putting on a fancy dress about to go to a high school prom. A month ago, before an idle wish to better understand his daughter that caused him to swap bodies with her, he never would've imagined this. He had hoped once he did unerstand her better, he'd swap back or something...like in the movies, but so far, well, he was still her. He hadn't wanted to go to the prom, but she told him that if he didn't wear the dress, she would. The last thing he wanted was to have his old body prancing around in a prom dress, so he reluctantly agreed. Now he was getting ready, and he was really having second thoughts...

Unpleasant Experience

Chris couldn't believe that he had switched bodies with his daughter, and now he was on a date with her douchebag boyfriend. He had agreed to do so only after her repeated begging, but he was certainly not enjoying himself. The guy had his hands all over what he thought was his girlfriend, but was (in fact) her father. This was a very unpleasant experience.

Reception

When Claire and Adam got married, the wedding was beautiful, but the reception was ruined when The Great Shift struck halfway through. Ted ended up in Claire’s body, his own daughter’s body! And it seemed everyone was looking to him for advice.

“According to what a few of you have been telling me,” He addressed the group, “The news is saying this is widespread, worldwide. Fortunately, we’re not the only ones stuck in the wrong bodies. But we also need to look out for each other. We need to account for everyone who is supposed to be here. I know Adam, who is now in the body of the flower girl Anna, is making a list of all the guests and keeping track of who is who. The person I’m most worried about is Claire. Obviously, I am in her body, but she doesn’t seem to be here among the guests anymore. She does know where to find us, so I hope she thinks to come here and meet us if she can.”

Ted then stepped aside and took a deep breath. This was certainly the last thing he wanted to worry about today, and he certainly didn’t feel comfortable being in his own daughter’s body. He had to stay strong for the sake of everyone else, but it was anything but easy!

Fooling Around

Alex and Lei had been dating for months, but had never been able to fool around with each other without their parents around. They figured they were both eighteen -- legally adults -- and should be allowed to do whatever they wanted; their parents, of course, disagreed. It was Lei who suggested trying magic; Alex was skeptical. But she insisted they use a body swap spell she found to swap with her parents. The spell would leave her parents in their body unaware of the changes.

Alex reluctantly agreed to try, and Lei cast the spell. He was surprised that it worked, but something went wrong. Instead of swapping with Lei’s dad, he was now in the body of her mom. Meanwhile, Lei was her own father. She suggested they still try fooling around, but Alex wasn’t sure. It would’ve been weird to be Lei’s dad, but being her mom was a bridge too far. He suggested that he and Lei swap with each other, but they tried to spell again and it didn’t work! Alex was worried he was now trapped int he body of a 50-year-old woman!
