Cold Feet (Part 1)

Originally posted on December 23, 2015.

It was supposed to the perfect wedding, out in a remote field far from the City. However, with only about an hour left, Sean was getting cold feet. That was when Brianna’s maid of honor, Ashley, came up to him. Ashley made a strange confession and an even stranger offer. She could tell Sean had cold feet; she also told him about her secret crush on Brianna. Of course, it would be impossible to turn her into a lesbian, but she did have a magic spell that could swap two people’s bodies. Ashley offered to swap with Sean. She’d be married to her crush, and Sean would be free to be single again. Of course, it meant Sean would be a woman; she wasn’t sure if he’d be cool with that. He thought about it; it really was a tempting offer. He agreed. A few magic words later, and he looked down to see that Ashley’s body was now his. Sean was already wondering if he agreed to the swap too quickly. Perhaps he overreacted to his cold feet, but there was no going back now, was there? So much back and forth in his head about this wedding, but he decided to switch into Ashley’s body in a mere few seconds?

Ruined

Tony had snuck around the back of the wedding venue at the start of the reception to have a cigarette. He knew his sister would give him a hard time about smoking if he didn't do it discretely. She'd say he was ruining her wedding or something. All that worry faded away when he took a few puffs.

"Got one to spare?” One of his sister's bridesmaids asked.

He handed her one, and the two got to talking. Her name was Crystal; she knew Tony's sister from college. She was sneaking around trying to find a smoke for the same reason he was hiding seriously fearlful of his sister's wrath. They began to laugh and enjoy each other's company, but just as they were about to head back to the reception when a strange feeling washed over them both.

In the next instant, Tony could feel his clothes were much too restrictive. He looked down to see the pale pink bridesmaid dress covering his body that he now filled out quite nicely. Yet his hair was still short; he jaw still square with a little bit of stubble. He looked over. Crystal's head was now on his body!

They both rushed to the reception where things were even worse. It seemed just about every last guest was in the same situation Tony and Crystal were. Tony's sister was probably crying the most. Her head was atop their elderly grandmother's body. She was stuck in a wheelchair and absolutely panicking. She had been worried about her wedding being ruined by the absolutely smallest thing, but it seems it was actually ruined by the most hugest, craziest thing possible!

Overprotective Mother

Originally posted on November 1, 2022.

When I proposed to my girlfriend, her mother seemed mad. She told me I wasn’t good enough for her daughter and that she’d personally see to it that we would never be married. My girlfriend told me to not take it too seriously; these were just the types of things her mother said. Though the constant threats continued throughout our engagement. I tried to follow my fiancée’s advice and shrug it off, but it was difficult to do so.

Other than her mother’s belittling of me, things were going well, but I never could’ve expected what would happen next. I woke up on the morning of my wedding with the shock of my life -- I had woken up in body of my fiancée’s mother! I was in the body of a 50-something year old chinese woman! I tried not to panic. I put on her dress, which was more difficult and uncomfortable than I imagined, and made my way to the ceremony. I tried to think of what I could say to my bride-to-be to convince her of the truth. That would make her think I was really me and not her mom trying to up with a wild excuse to call of the wedding or just seeming absolutely crazy. When I realized I couldn’t, I just remained silent. Maybe we’d swap back later and this nightmare will be over. However, this seemed much less likely after later in the ceremony when my former body pulled me aside and told me, “I told you that you would never marry her. I will look after my daughter forever, no matter what it takes. Even if that means I am now you for good.”

Compromise

Originally posted on June 30, 2019.

When Greg swapped bodies with his fiancée Kate as a result of the Great Shift, he knew it was going to be difficult. However, they were still both committed to making it work. And while compromise was at the root of every relationship, being body swapped took that to a whole different level. For instance, Greg completely refused to wear dresses, and he wasn’t ready to make an exception for the wedding. Kate, of course, always had dreams of her body walking down the aisle in a gorgeous gown -- even if she was no longer to the one who was going to be doing that walking. But they did reach a compromise.

Greg’s wedding outfit wouldn’t be a dress, but it would still be feminine. He agreed to a veil, and he even agreed to heels -- which he never, ever wore normally. Kate was more than pleased with how her body looked. It wasn’t a gown, but it would work. On the flip side, Kate had no issues with wearing a suit, but she did get Greg to agree on several other things she insisted including the menu and the venue.

As weird as this all was for Greg, he was still happy to be marrying Kate.

Let Down

As Thomas entered the room, William turned toward him with an expression that seemed prepared for a let down. William paused before he spoke, “You better have found a way to fix this whole body swap thing. Your machine caused me to start randomly switching with people a month ago. I was switching with people every few hours, and you and I seem to be the only ones who actually realize it. And then I got stuck in this woman’s body for days for some reason. And now she’s about to get married. I am NOT going to be this guy’s wife.”

Thomas paused, “I’m afraid I have some bad news then. I managed to use my machine to remotely stabilize your swapping, but that means the body you’re in now is yours. You’re going to be stuck like that.”

William went from let down to angry. He was about to unload but was interrupted to be called down to the ceremony.

He excused himself as he headed out of the hotel room and down to the beach. Part of him felt bad, Wendy’s soul was probably still trapped deep down in this body, helpless to do anything as long as he was in control of her body. Another part of him was excited, people talk about marrying a soulmate, but Scott knew his situation took that to a whole new level now. He couldn’t imagine arguing with himself ever. It seemed like a perfect life. He wouldn’t even have to tell his original body. Why ruin it? And he actually enjoyed being Wendy. This life could be perfect...

Self Love (Part 1)

Originally posted on May 13, 2016.

With their wedding only a few weeks away, Scott had been begging Wendy to let him see her in the dress beforehand. She kept insisting it was bad luck and refused to let him see her in it. Scott had a little trick up his sleeve. He had dabbled in the black arts several years ago and still remembered a few spells. He waited until the day of her final fitting, then he proceeded to chant. He hoped the spell would work; it had been years since he cast it. If he did it right, his soul would temporarily split into two. One half would stay with his body, the other would allow him to possess someone else -- in this case Wendy. Neither half would be connected to the other until after about an hour, the errant half would snap back to his original body, and he’d have two sets of memories of that time. Sure enough, the spell seemed to work. The half of his soul now in Wendy’s body was standing in the shop, admiring the dress. It was gorgeous. He felt like a lucky man (even if he technically wasn’t one at the moment). The tailor made a note that the gown was fitting perfectly, and Scott was assisted in getting out of it. He changed back into Wendy’s clothes and waited, knowing it was only a matter of time before he snapped back to his own body with this wonderful memory.

Except when an hour passed, and he was still in her body.

An hour turned to a day, then a week, and finally it was the day of his wedding. Scott felt weird. He hadn’t said anything to his original body about the spell, slightly nervous of the thought that he had messed up and that it was potentially Wendy in there, waiting for him to admit that this swap was his fault. Of course, it was also possible his own soul was still in there, not wanting to tell the person he thought was Wendy about a failed attempt at magic. Now he was going to essentially be marrying himself while wearing the dress he had been so desperate to see just a few weeks earlier.

Brother's Wife (Part 2)

Being swapped with his brother's wife made Ben feel so uncomfortable. It might have been due to the fact that he had almost been in a compromising position with his own brother at the moment of the swap or it might just be because he was now in Lucy's very feminine body. One thing was for sure, he didn't want to stay in that awkward wedding dress. He grabbed a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt from Lucy's suitcase and went to the bathroom to change. Gene told him it was nothing he hadn't seen before; that only made Ben feel even more uncomfortable. Even after he changed, he felt weird about going back out to the room. He just waited for a while before yelling out a lie to his brother about having trouble.

Then Ben suggested that Gene go check in on Lucy. After all, if he was in Lucy's body, Lucy was probably in his body. He told Gene the room number and waited for the door of the suite to shut. He deadbolted it. He didn't want his brother coming back. The way Gene looked at Lucy's body was still so lustful, even with Ben inside, and it made Ben feel just a little afraid. He needed to be alone right now.

Ben had a lot to drink at his brother’s wedding reception. After it was all over he retreated to his room in the hotel where all the guests were staying. Just as he laid his head down on the bed, he jolted awake suddenly on the floor. Ben saw his brother stand above him with a lustful look in his eye. He back himself away slowly and he started to realize that he was wearing a wedding dress. He had breasts -- he was in the body of his brother’s wife, Lucy! As Ben’s brother, Gene, slowly came in for a kiss, Ben screamed for him to stop, telling his brother who he really was. Gene couldn’t believe it. He had thought his wife had gone crazy, but after a long discussion, Ben had convinced Gene about who he really was.

What If It Wasn't an Accident?

Originally posted on July 17, 2014.

An accident with the Medallion of Zulu had caused Josh to switch bodies with his sister, April, on the morning of her wedding. Seeing as how they wouldn’t be able to switch back for 12 hours, April pleaded with her brother to pretend to be her for the ceremony. Josh reluctantly agreed as he went through all the hair and makeup routines and found himself dressed in a beautiful white gown.

With minutes left to go before the ceremony, a bridesmaid casually asked him, “So you didn’t get cold feet after all?”

Suddenly Josh froze. What if the accident with the medallion hadn’t been an accident? What if this was his sister’s way of getting out of this whole thing? What if he was going to be stuck like this? Stuck in her body in her life with her husband? It wasn’t too late to run, was it? He could run off. Sure, he’d still be stuck in his sister’s body, but at least he wouldn’t be tied down to a husband!

Then the music started...

He had been swapped into the body of another bride at a nearby chapel, and he rushed over to be with his fiance. Despite the madness, the wedding went forward as planned. However, it was a little difficult for some to feel comfortable to see two brides being married by the flower girl, who the pastor had swapped with.

Perfect Wedding

Originally posted on September 27, 2018.

Chuck had heard of bridezilas, so he was pretty relieved when his wife-to-be Kate seemed pretty relaxed about the whole thing and suggested hiring a wedding planner, Anne. It wasn’t long before Anne was bossing both Chuck and Kate around in order to help them plan their wedding. They often thought of firing her, but everything they previewed with her was always perfect. Dealing with Anne just seemed like a mild inconvenience in exchange.

When Chuck arrived at the day of the wedding, Anne greeted him. She was going to make sure he stayed far away from Kate, but her pleasant smile turned into a frown when she looked him up and down. She started lecturing him about now being perfect, about his tie being crooked. She demanded he let her fix it all. When Chuck agreed, he was shocked that Anne had somehow swapped bodies with him. She told him it was the easiest way. She’d get his body ready for the next hour or so, and he could just look around and enjoy everything. Chuck shrugged. It was weird, but he figured it was easier not to worry about it. And sure enough, as he looked around, everything was beautiful and, well, perfect. He couldn’t help but smile even if was walking around uncomfortably in Anne’s dress.

However, as guests started to arrive, he got nervous. He couldn’t find Anne and his body. When he finally did with minutes to spare, he asked about swapping back.

Anne just smiled, “You didn’t figure it out, did you? You aren’t getting your body back. I was planning the perfect wedding...MY wedding. I’m taking your life and your wife, and it was my plan all along...”

Sweet Revenge

Oh no! George gasped when he caught sight of his reflection. He could tell something was wrong the instant he had switched bodies. He had looked down to see the white dress, and he knew he was a woman about to get married, but seeing his own reflection, now he finally knew who he was. He had dated her a few years ago before she cheated on him. She ended up dating that guy; George guessed she was actually about to marry that guy...except now he was her! George wasn’t sure how he had suddenly gotten into a new body, but he wished he had swapped with just about anyone else in the world. He hated Kate for cheating on him all those years ago, and now he was going to have to see that face any time he looked in a mirror. And then there was the matter of this wedding. If there was anyone he didn’t want to see even more than Kate, it was that jerk she slept with. Then again, maybe this was his opportunity to screw it all up for her. He was the bride now, after all. Maybe he should decide to get cold feet. Maybe he should figure out a way to make the whole thing embarrassing. Oh, the ideas for revenge were flowing now. After all these years, it was going to be sweet.

He had no idea that weird magic spell he found on the internet was a possession spell, nor did he expect to immediately possess his brother’s fiance, Erika. He figured he had two options. One was to go through and marry his own brother, and hope the spell would just sort of wear off so things can go back to normal. The other was just call off the wedding and get himself as far away from there as possible. He’d be living Erika’s life for as long as he was stuck in her body -- but he’d be living it by his own rules, certainly not married to his own brother. He was going to have to make a decision soon..
