It was the weirdest carnival that Robert had ever been to. Inside of one of the tents, a gypsy used a crystal ball to swap his body with that of a young woman's. They were both told to return to the tent in two hours in order to swap back, as it would take time for the ball to recharge. Robert wasn't taking that chance. He grabbed the mallet from the "Test Your Strength" booth and headed back to the tent. He smashed the crystal ball, ensuring that he would keep the young woman's body forever.

Carl could never stand to see his wife cry, even if she was doing it from his body. The two had swapped bodies because of a weird medallion she had found, and now she was crying because she accidentally threw it away before the time when they could swap back. Carl dried his wife's tears before heading over to the dumpster where the building's trash was collected. He wasn't looking forward to it, but it was worth it to get them back to their own bodies and make her happy. Meanwhile, Carl's wife clutched the medallion tightly. She had hated fooling Carl like this, but if she didn't really make him believe like she wanted to swap back, he'd be suspicious when she claimed she "lost" the medallion "accidentally."

At first Gary thought it may have been just about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. As he walked down the hall, he passed by a young woman, who he eyed up and down as they passed each other. He thought she wasn't bad looking and pondered turning around to ask her on a date before deciding he could do better. That's when a strange white light engulfed the hall, swapping the pair's bodies. Gary wondered if he was somehow being punished for thinking this woman wasn't attractive enough to go out with...because he'd be stuck with her (in some sense) now! But it wasn't punishment, it was just one of the many results of the Great Shift.

Searching for ID

He certainly could tell he was a woman with incredibly short jean shorts! Luckily, he found a small purse slung across his shoulder post-Shift, so he sat down and started to dig through it. The Beach

A Few More Hours

Jamie couldn't believe he was doing this. He was putting on his younger sister's shoes about to go to her college classes for the day all because he had ended up in her body thanks to some strange magic medallion. She confessed using the medallion in the past to swap bodies with her boyfriend, and that they wouldn't be able to swap back for a few more hours--Jamie would have to go to class for her and they could swap back after. His sister wasn't telling the total truth--in fact, it wasn't his sister now in his body at all--it was her boyfriend. She had stolen her boyfriend's body long ago, and now he was desperate to get back to a man's body, so he stole Jamie's. When he'd return from class, he'd pretend like he lost the medallion, leaving him in Jamie's body for good, and Jamie would be stuck as his own sister.

Kenny was jogging when the Great Shift hit, and he suddenly found himself in the driver’s seat of a car. He looked in the rearview mirror to see a beautiful blonde face staring back at him. Then he looked back to where he was jogging and saw himself continuing to run as if nothing was wrong. He wasn't sure if he was crazy at first or what until the passenger in the car turned to him and said, "Did you swap too?"

Underground Caverns

When Garret found the entrance to an underground cavern in his backyard, he was overjoyed. It was like having his very own personal waterpark. However, he didn't realize that he wasn't alone. The spirit of a young woman who died in the caves haunted the space. She saw Garret as her way out, but she wasn't the most competent ghost. She failed trying to possess his body, and instead of her spirit inside his body, she had transformed Garret's body into a copy of hers while he still maintained his original spirit. Healing Pool

Harold had travelled halfway around the world to remote a remote part of China based on rumors of a magical healing pool that could cure any disease. Considering he had an inoperable brain tumor, he figured superstition was his only hope at this point. Worse case scenario, he figured he would at least visit China before he died. When he arrived the villagers in the closest town warned him not to go--that no man dared to travel to the pool. He dismissed such rumors, and they reluctantly gave him directions. After taking a dip in the pool, he learned why no man ever dove in--he was transformed into a young Chinese woman! At this point, he could only hope that it cured his cancer as well. He had risked everything...quite literally.

Luke did the math. She was sure offering him a lot of money. Plus, she was probably twenty years younger than he was. That would give him a longer lifespan to profit even more. He made sure his financial affairs were in order before the swap. Soon enough, he found himself in her body. He changed from her clothes into a skirt suit he had brought with him and smiled at her. He hoped she knew what she was getting herself into. She smiled back, thinking the exact same thing about his decision...

The Consequences of Sneaking

Wendy had dragged her boyfriend Brian to the ballet. He hated it. He was so bored that he decided it was best he just ditch her during the intermission. He knew she’d give him hell later that night, but he just couldn’t take it anymore. It wasn’t until he got to the train station and sat down that he noticed something odd. He reached down to tie his shoe laces and noticed something strange about them. They weren’t his usual shoes; they were dainty white slippers that laced in the back. And why was he wearing tights? His eyes followed his legs up his body with horror. It wasn’t just that he was wearing a ballerina’s outfit, he had swapped bodies with one of the ballerinas! He began to think about how it happened. He could only think of one time. As he was making his way out, he had bumped into one. She was sneaking a cigarette at the time. A single radish and a piece of bok choy, it didn’t seem like very much food. Danielle had given Nick strict orders about what he could eat for each meal as long as they were stuck in each other’s bodies. This was lunch. He knew he’d be hungry soon after, but he smiled as he told himself it would all be over soon. In a few days, they’d return to the lab that did this, and they’d swap back. He didn’t think switching bodies would change much, but living the live of someone else actually proved to be quite challenging. Danielle’s daily routine was just so much different from his. It ha been part of the experiment; he had to spend his time as she would. That meant getting up early to go workout, eating the meals she would eat, and even doing her job. Another smile came across his face; she probably had a harder time with his job than he did with hers. Doing Danielle’s job felt almost like a vacation to him; if only he was able to chow down on just a little more food!

Perfect Man

In fact, he’s been a saint, picking up the girls at soccer practice, taking me out to dinner twice...” Kelly paused thinking about this. Her husband was never so selfless. Maybe this woman was right, maybe she had swapped bodies with her husband. Then again, the woman now in her husband’s body seemed like the perfect man, better than her husband ever was. Did she even want them to entertain the idea of helping them swap back?
