A few months passed, and I began to really began to embrace the fact that I was a beautiful woman. Part of this was likely due to the fact that I had quit my job immediately (I felt like I couldn’t explain what happened to me with a straight face), and I ended up taking up work as a model to pay the bills. The photographers and talent scouts were underandably impressed with the sort of superhuman things I could do.

Marvin also helped with the rent in the early months before the checks starting coming in. He was always a good friend, and his name was on the lease of the apartment we shared, so it made sense. Because of our long friendship and his kindness, we tried dating. Unfortunately, my super strength extended to all the muscles in my body, and I ended up severely injuring him when we got close enough to try sleeping together. While he was in the hospital recovering, I stayed by his side with only short trips to the nearby park for some fresh air. I used it to clear my head; I thought about breaking it off. But we ended up deciding to stay together; we just weren’t going to do THAT again any time soon.

There didn’t seem to be anyway to reverse this. It’s not like I could select my original body in the game as a character and hope for another power surge. I resigned myself to the fact that I was stuck, but I did ask if someone could pick me up some normal-looking clothing. A bunch of guys at the arcade quickly volunteered to get stuff for me in the wider mall (I’m guessing they thought they’d be able to see me change in front of them or something). But when they returned with some sweats and yoga pants, I was lucky the arcade had a back room where I could put them on. Marvin asked if I wanted to head back to our apartment, but I told him I could make my own way. I just wanted to be alone for a bit. I ended up just wandering in the mall. I checked myself out in a few mirrors. My reflection was still so weird to me. I suppose I was thankful that without the outfit, I did just look like a normal woman. Granted, I still had a great figure and was quite attractive, but I wouldn’t be drawing the same kind of attention I had in the arcade. Small favors, I guess.

VR Malfunction (Part 1)

The new VR game was the hottest item at the arcade. I went down with a bunch of friends the day they installed it. The lines were long, but it was worth it. Everything felt so real. When you played the games, it felt like you really were the character you played as.

But on my third round, something happened. There was a power surge or something and the lights went out. I took off the headset and was shocked to find I had been transformed into my character! Suddenly, all eyes were on me as I was now the living embodiment of so many gamer guys’ crushes.

My friend Marvin asked if I had my character’s powers. I wasn’t about to kick anyone to find out, but we figured out a few other tests. I could lift the arcade cabinets with ease, and when I played the games, my reaction time was insane. And luckily there were high ceilings, because I could jump unbelievably high. In a lot of ways, it was really cool. If only I had selected a male character though, then I wouldn’t be stuck in a woman’s body!

Immersive Entertainment

Being able to try out the new “immersive Entertainment” VR headset was a dream come true. Edwin had always loved new tech and the implications for gaming were downright insane. He put on the goggles and earphones and was instantly transported to a new world.

Well, actually the world was almost identical to the real one. In fact, the tech company had gone through great lengths to get every detail about the real world perfect in the virtual one. It was all pretty boring...at least until Edwin noticed his avatar. The character he was walking around with was clearly female. Even as he put his hands on his body, it all felt incredibly realistic. He wondered how this was accomplished. He wouldn’t find out the secret until he was back in the real world and discovered the glitch that swapped his body with another user...
