Despite everyone being glad to see Melvin again, no one thought he could play Santa Claus with his new body. The mayor decided she'd be the one to tell him the bad news.
"I'm sorry, Melvin. I don't think you will work out as the town Santa Claus this year,” She said.
"Why not?" He huffed, placing his hands on his hips.
"Just look at you! Santa is an old, bearded man! You're a young woman now!”
"Who said Santa didn't shift along with the rest of us!"
"We need to keep the traditional Santa Claus to provide stability for the young children, Melvin.”
