Blur

It was at a crowded club where she caught my eye. I don’t know how long she had been staring at me, but I started staring back once I noticed her. Then she pointed with a wink and a smile. It felt like her finger was sticking a psychic needle into my brain even from clear across the room. She would slightly move it, and I would feel the pain in my brain move accordingly. I soon started to hallucinate. The whole club became a mess of light and color with only the woman pointing at me still in focus. It still felt like her finger was penetrating my brain, and it was getting more painful by the second. My vision blurred further until everything was just a mess for a moment. Then the pain abruptly stopped, my vision cleared, and reality resumed. But there was one thing different. I was no longer looking at the woman in the distance. Instead I was looking at my own body. What she had done was switch bodies with me. I was now her, and she was now me. Part of me thought I should be freaking out about this, but I couldn’t help but feel strange calm and welcoming about the whole thing.
