After the body swapper was invented, many countries put heavy restrictions on their use. James hoped he’d avoid those laws by visiting a small island nation it the Pacific. He offered a local woman a relatively low price of $50 to swap with her for 24 hours. She eagerly accepted. After a day, he returned to the hotel and waited for her in the lobby. When she finally arrived, he smiled and asked if she was ready to swap back now.

The woman in his body pretended to be confused, “I have no idea what you are talking about? Do I know you?”

James’s smile turned into a frown. Suddenly he realized those regulations might have some benefit. As right now, he was likely going to be stuck in this woman’s body from here on out...

Not a Single Word

Eugene never expected anything like THIS to happen to him while he was on vacation in Japan. He had just gotten into his hotel room and began to settle in when the lights started to flash. The next thing he knew, he was in an office building, amongst a group of people going home for the day. Looking down, he could see that he was dressed in a reasonable skirt suit, and he now had a very nice female body. A huge grin soon showed on his face. He wasn’t sure how he had swapped bodies with this woman, but it was a dream come true. He couldn’t wait to start living her life. The only problem? He didn’t know a single word of Japanese!

Princess

Rodney had been vacationing in a remote country in eastern Asia. He was relaxing and enjoying his time, but it was almost over. On Monday, he’d have to return to work. He wished he didn’t. He wished he never had to leave! He wished he never had to work again! Then a strange flash of light, and he found himself in an ornate room. He tried to stand but was stopped by a man who insisted that the princess not do any work. If she wanted to get someone, he would carry her. Princess? Her? Then he looked down with a shock. He had somehow swapped bodies with the land’s princess! He wasn’t allowed to lift a finger! And apparently, he wasn’t even allowed to stand on his own two feet!

Foreign

While Edward had actually heard of the legend of the magic taxi, he never expected to encounter it while on a business trip halfway around the world. He was stuck in the body of the driver, an older Chinese man, for a while. For starters, in order to swap with another passenger, he was going to have to learn how to say the words “Have a nice day” in a foreign language. He tried swapping with various people, but he must’ve gotten the words wrong. After a while, he just tried to get it right with just about anyone. He actually didn’t intend to swap bodies with the woman he ended up switching with, it just happened to be the first time he actually got the phrase right.

As he stood on the curb, the taxi drove off. He realized he didn’t know much about being a woman, and he certainly didn’t know enough about the language or culture to be a Chinese woman. He sighed. He was probably going to have to figure out a way to immigrate back home. He had heard the process wasn’t easy, but it seemed like a better option than trying to adjust in this country...

Late Night

Aaron was vacationing through Asia when the Great Shift happened. It was late at night, and he was taking a train back to his hotel after a night of drinking. When the Shift first happened, he thought he was hallucinating from all the alcohol. It just didn’t seem real that he now had smooth legs, for instance -- not to mention now having female body parts! It was the fact that he now felt completely sober that made him figure out this was real; he had swapped bodies with another person, a woman. The few people on the train were also affected, but he suspected that the real nightmare would begin when everyone woke up in the morning.

Magic Makeup

For the last two hours, Ben had sitting in the chair of one of the best makeup artists in Hollywood. He awoke to find a very different face looking back at him in the mirror. He made various expressions like smiling, pouting, and frowning, the makeup seemed perfect.

"This is amazing." He said to the makeup artist, "Despite being a white dude, you actually made me look like an African American woman! I still can't believe it..."

"Oh, you don't just look like one," The makeup artist retorted, "For the duration of this shoot, you ARE an African American female.”

"What!? How? Why?"

"Let's just say I'm magic, Ben, and let's just say that you are about to truly embrace your philosophy of method acting with this role."

The Good Life

Tyrone and Alexia were living the life. The pair had found a weird bodyswapping ray that allowed them to take over the lives of a rich couple. No more minimum wage jobs and struggling to survive; now they had it all. A boat, a mansion, and more money than they knew what to do with. Tyrone had just wished that when Alexia was using the ray gun that she would've swapped his body with the husband instead of the wife, but he was adapting to the role quite well with dresses and expensive gifts.

While practicing a basic ninja move, Hanzo couldn't believe that he fell backwards. This was worrisome. He had used a soul swapping spell to transfer his essense into a woman's body, but he should have retained his skills. Maybe he did something wrong? He was just worried that this might affect his upcoming mission. He would have to do a bit of extra training to prepare or research to enhance the magic of the soul swap...

Ninja

With his lifetime of ninja training, Hanzo knew many tricks of stealth to attack his enemies unsuspectingly. His latest target was at a business in eastern Europe, where an unfamiliar asian man might cause suspicion. However, using a bit of meditation, he was able to swap his soul with a young Polish woman. No one would ever suspect a ninja in a body like this. It was simply one of his various tricks to get close to his targets...

Josh and Mark had been friends since they were kids. The two buddies did just about everything together. They played on the same little league team, double dated at high school prom, and went to the same college. Even in their late 20s, they still hung out all the time. They even decided to take a vacation to Japan together. Things were going well until these two women started pointing and giggling at the two men. Josh was ready to start a fight, but Mark held him back. Then a weird light engulfed all four of them. Josh and Mark could only stare dumbfounded as they saw their own bodies giggling. They had swapped bodies with the two Japanese women, and they realized there was nothing they could do about it.

The Harvest

Before going on vacation, John’s friends had told him to careful. They warned him about a news article they read about tourists getting their organs harvested. Jack laughed off these concerns; he knew how to be safe. It turned out that even the resort had dangers. Someone must have slipped something into his drink one night. He awoke in a poor part of town on a cold floor above a factory, except instead of an organ being stolen -- it was his entire body! He was now a woman, seemingly malnourished and now expected to work in the factory below. The days were 18 hours long and John was tired. How had she managed to get into the resort? How did she find the time? How did she manage to swap bodies with him? And how was he going to escape from al of this?

A large crowd began to gather in Beijing as a strange light began to flicker in mid-air. There seemed to be no cause and no reason for it until a young woman fell out of the light before it quickly disappeared. Many with cameras pulled them out to get a photo of the woman who appeared out of thin air. She spoke, “Could someone help me? I think something went wrong. My name is Samuel Winston, and I am from California. I invented a teleporter, but I think something went wrong! This isn’t my body!” The only response he seemed to get were a few confused faces and some cheers. Everyone was speaking a language he didn’t understand. He asked, “Does anyone here speak English? Anyone?”

It's Electric

Sam had been working as an electrician for twenty years and he had never seen anything like his latest job. He was in the basement of a mansion that belonged to Cheng Bei, the daughter of a Chinese businessman. Wires were connected in illogical manners, and connected improperly. He was fixing up the last one when a bolt of electricity shot up his arm. When he came to, he realized he was in Cheng's body! He rushed downstairs to find Cheng in his body also starting to waken. She explained the house was cursed, but she had never expected anything to come of it. She also started yelling something in Chinese before explaining that he would have to go to a fancy dinner tonight as her while she worked to reverse the curse. Cheng spent hours dressing Sam in appropriate clothing and makeup, but she sighed as she saw him sit like the low-class slob he was...

Aaron could hardly believe he would be starting his first day at college in a month! He had thought his dreams of furthering his education were crushed after the Great Shift took his 18-year-old body from him, and swapped him into a 30-year-old black woman. Sure, he had still had decent grades, but he no longer had the body that helped him earn a scholarship for swimming, which meant he couldn't afford school anymore. Luckily, the government and various universities were sympathetic to the swapped. Many set up special assistance programs for people in positions like Aaron. Sure, he may have had to attend his safety school, but he was still at college!

Seven to Two

Jamal laughed out loud when a five foot tall woman in a skimpy yellow top challenged him to a game of one-on-one. At close to seven feet, the African American man was confident in his basketball dominance over this woman. When she asked to "make it interesting," he almost didn't accept, thinking it wasn't a fair bet at all. He was convinced when she told him that the stakes were "anything I want against anything YOU want." "Anything," she cooed once more, and he was sold. He was totally caught off guard when she crushed him, 7 to 2. " Remember the stakes," she said, "Anything I want, and I want your body." Jamal looked confused for a minute, a little scared by the look in her eye. He picked up the ball and started to walk away, but all of a sudden fell over in pain. He felt most of his body contract, but a few parts felt like they were expanding. Something was wrong. He stood up to look back to where the woman was standing, but she had disappeared. He brought the ball to his chest and that's when he realized what was wrong. He had two boobs hanging down from there covered in a very familiar yellow top. She had stolen his tall body and left him in hers!

Only Child

Eric was an only child, so he was pretty annoyed when his parents agreed to host a foreign exchange student for a year. They told him he should show her around the school, introduce her to his friends, and so on. He really didn't want someone leeching on him all the time. However, the foreign girl quickly confided in Eric and showed him a secret medallion that she had that could swap people's bodies! He didn't believe her, of course, but she used it to swap her body with his. He freaked out. After he had morphed into her, he yelled at her to leave his room. But she quickly corrected him that it was HER room now. Eric walked down the hall to the guest bedroom where the foreign exchange student was staying, changed into a baggy sweatshirt and jeans, and wondered how he was going to get her to switch back with him!

Troy and his friends always stayed clear of the Korean chick at their college. She was weird; she wore the strangest outfits and just said things that seemed to make no sense. They hadn't even bothered making fun of her, because she would blow up at them. She hung out with the art crowd while Troy and his friends were more of the jock type. Of course, this changed when an accident in one of their science classes switched their bodies. The University promised to sort it out as soon as possible and offered them both a full scholarship if they promised to keep it quiet. Troy couldn't believe he had to spend ANY time in this body. As he searched through her closet, he couldn't find a single piece of normal clothing. It was getting cold and most normal jacket she owned made him look like a plastic canary. He sucked it up and wore it out, prepared to be ignored by his own former friends...

The Other Half

The Great Shift turned out pretty bad for Kevin Bartles. He had been enjoying champagne in his Madison Avenue apartment when it hit, and he suddenly found himself in the body of a woman who lived in an impoverished slum in a third world country. His slight buzz was replaced hunger pains. With no access to media and with no ability to speak the local language, his only way to know that he wasn’t the only one in a strange body was the general confusion and chaos of the other people around him. It was two months before the American embassy reopened and another one before they were able to determine Kevin was actually who he said he was. He had learned in those twelve weeks how the other half actually lived; the struggles they went through. He found himself dedicating his time, wealth, and entire life to improving the situations of the misfortunate.

Culture

Living abroad had never been easy for Jiro. His job required him to be in the states, but he never felt like he fit in here. He appreciated how understanding and open everyone seemed to be in the big city, but he still could never reveal to anyone his secret; that he felt uncomfortable being a man.

As time wore on, he grew more and more miserable. He thought about quitting and heading back to his homeland. But one day, as he made his way through the crowded streets on his commute, something odd happened.

He bumped into a woman. Running into someone wasn’t exactly uncommon given the crowds, but he bowed and apologized as he continued on his way. That’s when he realized something strange. After the bump, he apparently swapped bodies with the woman! He felt instantly ecstatic in so many ways. Being a woman was like a dream come true. And being a white woman meant he might finally feel like he really fit in. He looked back to see his own body continue on its way. He figured the woman must have really been in quite a rush to not notice the swap. But he wasn’t complaining.
